Have been linked to the US, yeah.....forgot the 17% part didn't you Washington.

Anyway I don't feel like getting serious today so I'll get on the game subject. MMO's, now, if you know me I'm an MMO addict. Seriously, this stuff is like crack to me. Anyway, there's quite a few big releases this year but there is one that I would particularly like to inform you people of. Granted I chose this one because I'm going to end up playing it and I'm leading the sector of my MMO clan that's branching out in to this game but I'll try to be objectivifying towards women. Promise.

This game is called Earthrise, it is being developed by a fairly unknown developer in Masthead Studios. They're a Bulgarian company and as far as I've been able to tell by my extensive research this is they're first game and aesthetically it's a beauty. Set in a post apocalyptic world humanity has regrouped on a new land mass, the island of Enterra. It combines the first person shooter element with a skill progression experience style RPG system. The game does allow for first person and third person view points. Beta for Earthrise is slated to begin in May of this year, I am personally looking forward to that and hoping my clan gets accepted but that is neither here nor there. So, if you're interested in playing a brand new game some time this year or are just as sick as I am and need to check out every MMO coming out, check their website at http://www.play-earthrise.com/.

I will admit my main motivation for being so interested in this game is because it seems like this could be what Neocron was supposed to be. Neocron, the game I love so much, that I have played for most of my adolescent years and still play to this day. A game with such massive potential that it should be a crime how badly the developer fucked it up. Speaking of that I'll get on to my next game.

Black Prophecy. This game looks like a prettier EVE Online, however we have been promised that it will not be like EVE. It is supposedly going to have arcade style shooter gameplay and is compatible with an Xbox 360 controller which brings to mind the question, are they porting this to the 360? I don't know, but it would be a good idea from a financial stand point for a company who's main source of income is now free to play and who's parent company filed for insolvency a little less than a year ago. The developer is the German company Reakktor most known for the development of the under achieving Neocron. Now, the game looks promising, check it out at http://www.blackprophecy-game.com/ but take everything you read with a grain of salt. Reakktor is notoriously a terrible company at communicating with their subscribers and a terrible game management company. Neocron in another companies hands may have changed the world of MMOs and could possibly be the leading Sci-fi MMO out there.

There's two good looking games to keep you busy. Now I really need to work or something.
